Noah Bodner, lead singer of Minnesota based band The Plott Hounds posted a video this morning. Not just any old video though, he covered the amazing and very emotional Vince Gill single “Go Rest High On That Mountain”, and upon watching the video we just had to share with you all!

He knows he’s no Vince Gill, but with Noah’s unique sound and emotion driven hard into this song, we believe with no doubts he did the song justice and then some. Vince Gill would probably appreciate this unique version as well!

We asked Noah why he chose to cover this song out of the blue on a Saturday morning?

Noah stated that his dear friend Jake Anderson recently passed away. Last night he spent some time with Jake’s family and friends kicking back a few beers and reflecting on all of the great memories they had with Jake. After waking up this morning, Noah took to YouTube to search some random videos, and “Go Rest High On That Mountain” came up.  Within no time, he had the video below posted on Facebook.  We’re grateful Noah took the time to record the video, and share his cover of the song with the public.

When we mentioned we would post the video on MinnesotaCountry.com, Noah was excited about it, and appreciated our kind feedback.  Most importantly though, he asked that we spread the word about www.give60for60.org which was put together in honor and memory of his friend Jake Anderson.  With that said, after you watch the video below if you could take a few moments of your time to check the site out it would be appreciated by many.
