From “Jingle Bells” to “Silent Night”, everyone has their favorite Christmas songs and Jesse Charles of the band, Lost Highway, is no exception. For his first solo single, Jesse recorded his own version of the Alan Jackson classic “Let It Be Christmas” this year as a present to his mom.

“It’s her favorite Christmas song and it’s actually my favorite Christmas song as well so I thought I’d do my version of it and give it to her for Christmas”. In the true spirit of Christmas, Jesse states he wanted to record the song, “because I wanted to do something for her, we have a rich history of Christmas and my mom is always making it special”.

Some of his favorite Christmas memories involve heading out to his grandparent’s farm and being with family and all the excitement that went along with that and he says, “the entire song floats back a lot of memories of how I think of Christmas”. To surprise his mom, Jesse worked with a local radio station in Rochester, MN to premiere the song on air with an announcement when he knew she would be listening. To get Jesse’s version of “Let It Be Christmas” check out iTunes or CD Baby.

Now, don’t worry Lost Highway fans, Jesse says this solo single is just a one-off thing for now and Lost Highway will be playing plenty more shows and putting out more original music in the new year!
