We are proud to present Twin Cities singer/songwriter Shane Martin’s official release of, “Light it Up”, his latest collection of original music on Friday, Oct. 5th, 2012 from 9:00 pm – 1:30 am at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill in St. Louis Park, MN.
“Light it Up”, is the highly anticipated follow-up to “Rewind” and is Martin’s 4th solo album. His sound can be best described from Emmy award winning producer /engineer Kenny Royster. “Shane is a great singer songwriter on the teetering edge of country, pop, and rock where it’s just dangerous enough to be fun.”
After writing “Rewind” by himself, Martin took a new approach and began collaborating with other writers, including several in the Nashville area. The result is Martin’s most eclectic group of songs. “Light it Up” features ten new original songs with a bonus acoustic track. The album ranges from a “Wild Weekend” party, a little romance, love lost and missing love, take me as I am, living life with a “Grain of Salt”, to an ode to small towns. Martin states “Light it Up is the best group of songs I’ve recorded to date and I’m excited to share it with fans”. For the past two years Martin has been writing and co-writing in Nashville while touring and supporting his Rewind CD. The independent artist recorded “Light it Up” in Nashville with the highly accomplished producer/engineer Kenny Royster and world class studio musicians.
“Light it Up” is set to be released Friday Oct. 5th, 2012 at Toby Keith’s Bar and Grill in St. Louis Park, MN. Martin and his band will be performing from 9:30 pm – 1:30 am. There will be a pre-party meet and greet before the show, new Shane Martin merchandise and CD’s for sale, along with sign-up prizes and giveaways throughout the night.
Shane Martin is quickly becoming one of the top draws in the country/rock genre performing over 150 shows per year around the Midwest Region as a “One Man Band” and fronting his own band. In early 2012 Martin was a top 5 finalist in the Texaco Country Showdown competing for $100,000 and the National Title at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN hosted by LeAnn Rimes. Martin is back in the Country Showdown this year and has moved on to the Regional Round scheduled for Sat. Oct. 6th at Northern Lights Casino in Walker, MN the day after the release of “Light it Up”
The album’s first single “My Kind of Paradise” is available on iTunes and at www.shanemartin.com and is currently getting airplay on BOB 106.1 FM.
