As of earlier today (9-26-12), in a live press conference at The Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, TN country music legend George Strait announced he will be doing his last tour ever! As sad is this is to hear, the great news is he only means touring. He still plans on playing select shows after the two-year tour, and plans to keep on making music as well!
Many tour dates have already been set, and announced for this tour. You will be happy to know that he will be stopping at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, MN on February 15, 2012 along with Martina McBride. This show will surely sell out in no time, so be sure you save the following date. Tickets are set to go on sale at www.ticketmaster.com on October 12, 2012 at 10:00am CST. Prices begin at $69.50 and go up from there. In our opinion, well worth it!
The Cowboy Rides Away Tour will be spread out over two years. Earlier today George stated, “This is going to be a very special, emotional tour for me,” he says. “Everywhere we’re going holds fond memories and I’m looking forward to paying my respects.”
