hardingshopeLast October, just before the start of the NHL season, Minnesota Wild goalie Josh Harding announced he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

He’s vowed not to let the disease slow him down. Harding is currently one of the only professional athletes playing with this condition. He missed a lot of last season because of it, but played every game of the playoffs after Niklas Backstrom went down with an injury before Game 1 against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Harding has now started a charity to raise awareness and help support others living with M.S. The kickoff event for “Harding’s Hope” is from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. this Sunday August, 25th at The Pourhouse in downtown Minneapolis.

The Tim Sigler Band will be playing there this Sunday, and the event will be hosted by Josh Harding himself, as well as Fox Sports North’s Kevin Gorge.

Ticket sales and net proceeds will directly benefit Harding’s Hope.

This is sure to be a great event, and obviously a great cause.  For ticket information check out the event on Facebook here,
