Sunday isn’t quite a day of rest for day four of the Great Minnesota Get-Together. Embarking on a country career, Sheryl Crow headlines the grandstand tonight, along with Dwight Yoakam. Minnesota-favorite The Daisy Dillman highlights the Heritage Square Stage, and Canadian duo The Stellas featuring Lennon and Maisy heads south for several sets on the Leinie Lodge Bandshell.

Sheryl Crow is a nine-time Grammy award-winning American musician. She has sold more than 17 million albums in the U.S. with hits such as “Soak Up The Sun,” “If It Makes You Happy,” “Everyday is A Winding Road” and “A Change Would Do You Good.” In addition to her own work, she has performed with the Rolling Stones and has sung duets with Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, Tony Bennett and Sting. Her new hit, “Easy,” shows her transition into country music.

Dwight Yoakam is an American singer/songwriter, actor and film director, most famously known for his country music. He is a two-time Grammy Award winner and was recently nominated for Artist of the Year in the 2013 Americana Honors and Awards. “Vanity Fair” claims that he “strides the divide between rock’s lust and country’s lament.” Yoakam has had more than 30 singles on the “Billboard Hot Country Songs” charts such as “Honky Tonk Man,” “Please Please Baby,” “Little Ways” and “I Sang Dixie.”

fairthestellasThe Stellas/Lennon and Maisy

The Stellas are a country music duo from Canada and finished in fourth place on the second season of Country Music Television’s “Can You Duet” in 2009. The married couple has been together for 16 years, playing in bands and writing country-pop that highlights their strong lead vocals and complimentary harmonies. Lennon and Maisy are their daughters who have become a YouTube singing sensation and play the daughters (Maddie and Daphne) of Rayna James on the ABC series “Nashville.” The duo will appear Sunday, Aug. 25 with sets at 10:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.

With its original country-rock blend and sweet harmonies, The Daisy Dillman Band has garnered a loyal national following. The group made the Billboard Hot 100 charts in the 1980s, and in 2006 was voted into the Minnesota Rock & Country Hall of Fame. They will perform Sunday, Aug. 25 at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 12:30 p.m.

Tim Sigler will do a special solo acoustic set at the Northwoods Stage Sunday, Aug. 25 at 8 p.m. Whether it’s Eric Church, George Strait, Jason Aldean, Johnny Cash, or Luke Bryan, etc— Tim Sigler plays all of your favorite country songs.

A favorite for all MinnesotaCountry.com music fans is the annual Minnesota State Fair Fiddle Contest, which will take place in Heritage Square from 2 to 5 p.m. Aug. 25. Sunday afternoon includes the championship playoff, trick fiddling, twin fiddling, Fee-Fi-Faux and the gambler’s division.

The Farmers Daughters will hit the stage at the Gardens Building on the corner of Dan Patch and Underwood 6-11 p.m. nightly Aug. 25-Aug. 28. The Farmer’s Daughters are a new country band, coming out of the Northeast Metro.  TFD is a female fronted 3 piece band. consisting of guitar, bass and percussion.  This band is young, animated, and will bring laughter and excitement to any type of atmosphere. Lead singers Lady Jo, and Cindy Jo will have you singing along while they perform the finest tunes from America’s top, female, country, and artists of young and old.
