Mystic Lake promises to make New Year’s Eve one epic night with one of their biggest casino-wide parties to date, plus two concerts by Sawyer Brown and The Pointer Sisters in the Mystic Showroom.
New Year’s Eve festivities include free live entertainment on the casino floor and food and drink specials at all ten bars and restaurants. Party goers will receive free hats and beads, and revelers can take souvenir photos at a complimentary photo booth. Local country favorites Maiden Dixie, one-man band Ray Evangelista and DeeJay St. Joel and the Mystic Dancers will perform throughout the evening at various locations inside the casino.
Country favorites Sawyer Brown will take the Mystic Showroom stage at 7 p.m. for the first concert of the evening. More than thirty years into their storied career, Sawyer Brown shot to nationwide fame after winning Star Search and a recording contract in 1983. The band has been honored with numerous awards and charted three No. 1 singles and 16 Top 10 singles on the Billboard Country chart including “Step That Step,” “Some Girls Do,” “All These Years” and “Thank God for You.” For more information, visit sawyerbrown.com.
The star-studded evening continues in the Mystic Showroom with The Pointer Sisters taking the stage at 10 p.m. for the second concert of the night. Anita and Ruth Pointer, members of the original lineup, are joined by Ruth’s granddaughter Sadako Pointer, the group’s newest member. The Pointer Sisters have released a string of Billboard Top 10 hits including “Fire,” “Slow Hand,” “I’m So Excited” and “Neutron Dance.” They have been honored with three Grammy Awards, three American Music Awards and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
