Legends of Country Vol. II

Featuring Phil Thompson

Friday/Saturday, June 15 & 16
Dinner – 6pm
Show – 8pm

Legends of Country is coming back to the Fireside Theatre by popular demand with an incredible tribute concert filled with some of country music’s biggest number one hits that will take you through time from the ’50s all the way through today’s biggest hit-makers.  Legends of Country, Vol. II will feature new songs along with many of the requests made from last year (“Amarillo by Morning,” “Swingin’,” “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” “The Gambler”) as well as highlighting many of the crowd favorites from Vol. 1 (“Always on My Mind,” “The Dance,” “Hey Good Looking,” “Shoulda Been a Cowboy”) as well other classics by legends like Alabama, Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Reba McEntire, Ronnie Milsap, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Shania Twain and many more!

With a full 6-piece band featuring some of the state’s most well-known session players (including guitar virtuoso Jake Hegna and Kenny Wilson on pedal steel & banjo), this show will bring the songs to life the way they were meant to be heard as if you were in the audience at the historic Ryman Auditorium yourself!

Returning to the Fireside is internationally acclaimed pop pianist and vocalist Phil Thompson who continues touring the globe at venues including the MGM Grand Macau in China, Mandalay Bay and Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and dozens of high-profile sporting events including the US Open Tennis Tournament in NYC for 3 years in a row as well as the Rogers Cup in Toronto and Shanghai Rolex Masters. Phil has also headlined on several specialty-themed cruise events, most recently on the “Wine, Dine & Music Cruise” as spotlighted on USA Today with Kenny Loggins and Three Dog Night. Phil has also served as the opening act for artists including David Foster, Brian McKnight, The Canadian Tenors, Charice and Clay Aiken to name a few. When not on the road, Phil can be seen on WCCO TV as their “Man About Town” highlighting A&E events here in the Twin Cities.

For country fans young and old, this is one show you don’t want to miss!
