Following what quite possibly was the longest intro we have ever heard, Joe Diffie, Sammy Kershaw, and Aaron Tippin took the stage Saturday night Aug. 18 at Black Bear Casino in Carlton, MN as part of their “Roots and Boots” tour. At some times, it was hard to tell if this was a concert or a comedy show, but either way, the three talented artists kept the near-capacity crowd entertained for two solid hours. Continue reading

Opening for Miranda Lambert was Republic Nashville recording artist RaeLynn. You may recognize her from this past season of The Voice. Blake Shelton and wife Miranda Lambert have taken RaeLynn under their wings since the show. The concert at Grand Casino Hinckley Saturday, Aug. 11 was only RaeLynn’s second time up on the big stage actually playing a show. Continue reading

Though it was the same weekend as Minnesota’s country music mega fest, We Fest, the third-annual Rockwoods Jam in Otsego showed no problem holding its own as Ronnie Dunn headlined, with Jerrod Niemann, David Nail, and Minnesota’s own Shane Martin also taking the stage. After Dunn, Sara Lynn Wallin and 2 Mile Final kept the party going until bar close. Continue reading

This year the Country Music Association will host its 46th annual awards show.  Today CMA members will receive their ballots to begin the second of three rounds of voting for the show.  With categories like Entertainer of the year, Female and Male Vocalist of the year, Vocal Group and Duo of the year, New Artist of the year, Album and Single of the year, and many more being voted for, we are curious who you would like to see take home some awards this year?
