Why wait another minute Minnesota State Fair fans? Tonight is the night Rascal Flatts brings its “Changed” tour to the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand! Special guests Little Big Town, Eli Young Band, and Edens Edge will all be joining Rascal Flatts for this country-filled night at the fair. The show begins Thursday at 7 p.m. and “if” tickets are available they are $63/$53/$43. Note there is very limited seating still available for this show! Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012 – Day Six

Halfway through the fair and we still have plenty of fun left to go! Today is a special day at the fair, as it is Military Appreciation Day with special activities provided by K102 and Beyond the Yellow Ribbon. A “welcome home” parade will take place at 10:30 a.m. from the Leinie Lodge Bandshell to Carousel Park, followed by a “Tribute to the Troops” concert with Rockie Lynne in Carousel Park. Monday, Aug. 27, 2012 – Day Five

Wow, country music fans! Not only did the rain hold out for Blake Shelton’s Grandstand show Saturday night, but his lovely and talented wife Miranda Lambert also joined him onstage for “Hillybilly Bone.” Heading into this week, there is plenty more country in store as the fair chugs along into the long Labor Day weekend.

A treat Monday at the fair is special performances by Sherwin and Pam Linton and the Cotton Kings at the Heritage Square Stage at 2, 3, and 4 p.m. Continue reading

Rocket one up for Lost Highway this Sunday!

Since the release of their debut album, Lost Highway’s hit single, “More Than a Song,” has been landing on radio stations across the Upper Midwest!

K102, is the largest country radio station in Minnesota and one of the top in the Nation. They are now giving Lost Highway a shot to hit the major market airwaves!  This Sunday, Aug. 26, K102 will be running a program called “Jelli,” which is a 100 percent user-controlled radio program. Let’s Rock the Jukebox as Alan Jackson makes his way north for Day Two of the Minnesota State Fair. With a headline performance at the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand at 7:30 p.m. (tickets are $40 and available at the Grandstand ticket booth near the east end of the Grandstand), Jackson has traveled many miles from his small town beginnings in Newnan, Georgia. His music has taken him to the floorboards of the Grand Ole Opry and Carnegie Hall, to stages as distant as Australia and Scandinavia, to performances in front of four presidents. Continue reading
