After nearly 7 years, MinnesotaCountry.com founders Karleen and Brandon Wallin have sold their business.
What started as an idea to support local country music gradually grew into a media platform promoting both local and national country music artists/bands. ” I never thought we’d turn it into what it’s become over the years. We’ve been quite fortunate to have worked with so many great people, and businesses over the years”, says Brandon.
The Wallin couple have been to countless concerts and festivals over the years, supported many great causes, and have had the honor to meet some amazing people along the way. Though the business sold on July 16th, 2017 the Wallins’ still say they are avid country music fans and will still be out and about at shows when time allows.
Both Wallins’ currently hold leadership roles at separate healthcare facilities, and intend to keep those as their primary focus moving forward.
New owner Ryan Pilgrim has a B.S. in Accounting and in Finance from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and has served the financial industry for more than 10 years. Though he continues to move forward in the leadership role at his current employer, he will be dedicating plenty of time to his newly acquired business as well.
“Ryan shows the same passion for the music industry as we do, and we wouldn’t have sold the business to someone who we didn’t feel would uphold and move forward with the business as we would have. He’s sure to do a great job” says Brandon.
Brandon also noted he “hopes to see fans, bands, and businesses show Ryan the same great support they’ve shown us over the years and allow him time to transition into this new role. He’s got some great ideas and many of those are already in the works.”
Ryan stated he’s “grateful for this new opportunity and he looks forward to continuing the building of MinnesotaCountry.com.”
