The Band Perry made a big announcement earlier this week.  They will be splitting from their record label of six years, Big Machine Label Group.

“We and Big Machine Label Group have made a mutual decision to bring our working relationship to a close. We are grateful for 6 years of the big moments and great strides we made with our BMLG family and will carry that foundation forward with us as we begin the next leg of our journey.” the group posted on their Facebook yesterday.  Also adding that they will have new music coming soon, but no comment on when they expect it to be released.  Their latest hit, “Live Forever” was getting a lot of play on radio when it was first released last year, but has since lost some of its momentum.

It seems the split is causing no hard feelings from the band or Big Machine as Scott Borchetta, President of the label group posted on his Twitter account, “KP, REID & NEIL – THANKS FOR A GREAT RUN! WISHING YOU NOTHING BUT SUCCESS IN THE FUTURE. XO” after the announcement was made.

While The Band Perry’s plans for their future may be a bit unclear at the moment, one thing is for sure, we can’t wait see what the future holds and hear some new music from them.  Crossing our fingers we’ll have some to check out soon.  Until then enjoy this sweet video they made for fans after all the support they received following the announcement.
