When the state of Minnesota claims it “Taylor Swift Day” you know what you are about to encounter is going to be epic, and it was just that! The noise level coming from U.S. Bank Stadium last night for Taylor Swift’s “Reputation Stadium Tour” was something I have never experienced before. A concert that truly was for all ages.
The night started as people were still filling in their seats. British icon Charli XCX made her way to the stage and got the crowd going for the night. There really wasn’t a bad seat in the house. She had great stage presence and had a very energetic vibe.
She started out with her hit “Boom Clap” which got everyone on their feet. And to keep the crowd alive she proceeded with “I Don’t Care”. She closed with none other than “Fancy” which was the perfect way to set the stage for Camila Cabello who also rocked the stage.
The energy continued with Camila working the crowd with her hit songs “Never Be the Same”, “Real Friends” and closing out with a crowd favorite “Havana”. This was my first time seeing her perfume and I know it won’t be the last.
Now on to the part that everyone is most excited about. Miss Taylor Swift, herself! The excitement level that was going on in U.S. Bank Stadium when Taylor came out is unreal. I have been to a lot of concerts and she brings entertainment and energy to a whole new level. Her voice, her stage presence, her dancers, and the way her stage was set up was all on point. She opened with “Ready for It” which couldn’t have been a more perfect song to open with. The pyrotechnics were “lit”. She was bringing the heat in all areas of the stadium. Not only could you feel it but she made all of her fans apart of the show with light up bracelets that were synced up to each song, these were handed out to each individual when you stepped through the door. It was something I never experienced at a concert before, to look around and see the bracelets light up to the beat of the song she was performing. Very cool.
She did a really good job of engaging all her fans by working every area of the stadium. I can’t brag enough about how amazing her stage presence is. She did a good mix of her new, her old, her upbeat and even captivated the crowd with her heart-felt ballads.
I understand why she is such a good role model to all individuals. She came off very genuine when she talked about her fans, her band and her life experiences. Just by listening to her you know she appreciates what she has and everyone that has helped her get to where she is.
Overall the “Taylor Swift Reputation Stadium Tour” experience gets a 10 out 10.
