Gravel Roads formed during the summer of 2012 when we (Jeff and Jim) entered a national country music competition, the Texaco Country Showdown. After competing in the Minnesota state finals, they decided to record some of our original music and are now nearing completion of our first full cd.
As a guitar duo they have been performing and playing together, mostly for fun, for over 25 years. Tom and D joined Gravel Roads in the spring of 2013 and bring many more years of seasoned experience to this unique group of musicians.
Gravel Roads’ music is a flavor of traditional country and blues bringing a unique sound to an inspirational set of songs. Their lyrics are intended to inspire and bring hope during both the good and bad times and are rooted in personal experience. The songs are devoted to their faith in Jesus Christ and dedicated to an ever present God, long overlooked and ignored in today’s changing world. We hope our music will bring encouragement…and to those who listen, closer to a personal faith in God.
