Darlene Nelson is an award winning vocalist. She has successfully fronted her own band since 1987 receiving accolades as “Top Band” by the Minnesota Ballroom Operators Association. Her dynamic vocals and stage presence has made her a very popular performer with many satisfied clients over the years!
From stages all across Minnesota, Wisconsin to stages in Nashville and Branson, Darlene delivers a stellar performance! Darlene has performed numerous times in Nashville, capturing first place in the nationwide talent show “BE A STAR” in Nashville. She has appeared on shows with numerous Grand Ole Opry performers on the Ernest Tubb Record Shop “Midnight Jamboree” radio show broadcast live on “The legend” 650WSM.She has performed in many popular Nashville establishments including: The Nashville Palace, The Opryland Hotel, and Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge, just to name a few.
Ms. Nelson recorded a CD “The Nashville Sessions” at Hilltop Studios in Nashville and was produced by steel guitar session ace Mike Johnson who also performed on the project. The song “Seattle” was captured on tape when Darlene was just 5 years old, and is featured on the CD! This has been a very popular item at the band’s shows! Darlene’s talent has also brought her to the stages in Branson, MO where she advanced all the way to the finals in the Tony James “That’s Show Biz Talent Show”.
